Let’s Take “Dry” Out Of Dry Skin Toner

Okay, so your skin is clean and you know you need to moisturize. There's one thing you need to do first. Tone. A good toner for dry skin will get your skin ready for the moisturizer you're going to use on it. It will also help your moisturizer to work better.

Check the ingredients on the label for alcohol. An effective product for your skin does not need to have alcohol in it. Alcohol will only make your already moisture-starved skin even drier.

Remember the last time you went to the doctor and got a shot? What did the nurse use to clean your arm (or somewhere a little lower) before you got the shot?

Alcohol is great for cleaning and sterilyzing, but it also dries very quickly, and it certainly leaves a lot to be desired in the moisturizing department.

Find a good toner that adds moisture to your skin as well. Some really effective ones I've found contain Pro-Vitamin B5 and Rosewater. These ingredients, when combined with a toner that's designed to balance your skin's natural ph (level of acidity or alkalinity) ,will help to keep your skin soft and supple.

Rose water in your toner works well because of it's astringent and antiseptic properties. When your skin is very dry and begs "Handle with Care", skin toner containing rose water is a soothing option.

Rose Water is a great addition to a Dry Skin Toner. Find out how to make it here.
