Recommended Tools
Entrepreneurs today have so many choices on how to market themselves effectively. It’s easy to become overwhelmed to the point of doing nothing. Here are some of the tools I personally use so you don’t hit some of the same roadblocks to success that I did. First, to establish your online “home” you need a website or blog. As far as websites go, there’s only one I recommend that has everything you need for your online business:
SBI! aka SiteBuildIt! – Click on the video (it’s only about 4 minutes) and check it out.

If a blog’s more your style then there are a few pieces to assemble, but it’s super easy to do. First, You’ll need a domain name. The most well known place to get your domain is:
GoDaddy.com

Next, you’ll need a place to host your blog. This one you’re reading is hosted at HostGator.com. The reason I chose them is they integrate so well with WordPress and they’re super affordable. Check out the plans for yourself and see: HostGator.com
Even with the choices available, the Baby is the one I went with. Unless you’re going into the blog building business (try saying that three times fast), It’s all you really need.

For a blogging platform, WordPress.org is awesome. My reasons? Goggle loves them so you’re more likely to get noticed in the search engines, there are tons of add-ons, or “plug-ins” available to customize your blog the way you want it and it’s FREE, did I say free? Yup, FREE! Your only cost is for your hosting service and that’s less than $10 a month. Try opening a Mickey D’s franchise for that…not. You can’t go wrong with this one, guys. WordPress.org is the way to go.

Once your tribe starts finding you, you’ll want to stay in touch with them. Whether you have a newsletter, want to keep them up-to-date on your blog posts or have a nifty-cool offer for them you’ll want to have a quality auto responder to send them those emails. The auto responder I’ve used for years is Aweber. They’re one of the most reliable companies on the internet and their customer service is fantastic…
